REDUCED Majolica Plate with Cherries and Berries Zell

This beautiful Majolica plate features relief molded Cherries and Berries in shades of pink and burgundy with hints of yellow, green and white. The background is nicely detailed basketweave in a dusty Aqua. This lovely plate is 9 1/8" in diameter and in excellent, original condition, the white flashes on the leaves are light reflections, with no chips, cracks or crazing, there are a couple of places on the back of the rim where the glaze has missed, not visible from the front, but I wanted to mention it. It is fully marked on the back with the Zell in a teacup mark used by Georg Schmider, Baden, Germany 1907-1928, and the impressed numbers 2230 and D also an S. This is a delightful piece of Majolica which would be a welcome addition to any collection, I have also listed the mate to it. This and several other pieces, were from an Estate Sale that we found on our recent buying trip up north, and have obviously been well loved and cared for.
