This lovely Majolica plate features a relief molded design with a purple and yellow Tulip and pink Cherries, on a nicely detailed, Aqua basketweave ground . It is7 1/2" in diameter and in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. It is fully marked on the back, Made in Germany, with an impressed triangle and the numbers 2897, plus a printed 25. This is a delightful piece of Majolica which would be a welcome addition to any collection. This and several other pieces, were from an Estate Sale that we found on our recent buying trip up north, and have obviously been well loved and cared for.
