Sydenham Ironstone Covered Tureen

This round covered ironstone tureen is in the popular Sydenham shape, made in the 1850’s by T & R Boote. With its rounded panels, distinctive finial and ruffled rim, it has a very graceful appearance. The impressed Boote Sydenham mark appears inside the pedestal.

Size: Approximately 9.5” diameter; 9.5” at highest point.

Condition: Excellent. Some signs of use, but no chips, cracks or repairs (including final). Minor manufacturing flaws, primarily stray black specks from firing and couple spots on edge where foreign matter caused pits.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
