English earthenware mug with aesthetic style decoration in color and gilt on a grey/green body. The design work is transfer in black with the color and gilding added over. Impressed mark indistinct, but I believe it to read “Brownfield”, with 3/30 below (probably a shape number. A gilt number and “x” are probably the decorator’s mark. Circa 1875. Size: 3.25” high, 3.25” diameter. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.

Item ID: 8029
