Nineteenth century pearlware jug or pitcher with deep rust colored transfer medallions of “Hope” and “Charity” personified. Trimmed with silver luster bands and a heart and feather motif under the spout. An extremely graceful shape, circa 1815. In spite of the areas of damage noted below, this early jug is desirable for its form and decoration.

Size: Approximately 5.75” high. Condition: Small chip to spout chip, larger chip to bottom edge (below handle). Some wear to luster on rim. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.

Item ID: 2293
