Brown stoneware covered hot beverage jug or pitcher ca 1890. Molded body with cream colored “sprigged” jasper decoration of classical figures and foliage.
Oval impressed mark James Dudson, Hanley, Staffordshire under lid, impressed mark Dudson, England on bottom.
Size: Approximately 7.75” high, 4.25” bottom diameter.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
