Nineteenth Century Cut and Frosted Compote

One of the nicest pieces of glass I have owned, this antique compote has cut and frosted decoration in the bowl and around rim, in the form of leaf pairs. The stem has cut panels with teardrop inside, and a cut star in the base. No signature, but beautiful craftsmanship. Circa 1860, possibly English. Absolutely sparkling and elegant. Weighs almost three pounds, and has a beautiful bell tone.

Size: Approximately 8.75” diameter, 6.5’ high

Condition: Excellent. Usage wear on bottom, some very minor scratches/pits

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
