Charming little cup and saucer with free-hand painting. Black striping with light purple bands, green leaves, purple berries and red blossoms. Cream colored earthenware (but thicker and later than creamware). No markings, but probably Staffordshire area circa 1860. Size: Saucer approximately 4.75” diameter, cup approximately 2” high. Condition: Excellent. Only minimal signs of use and usual slight manufacturing flaws (stilt marks and stray bits of color). Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
