English Porcelain Coffee Can circa 1810

Porcelain : Antique : Spode

 

Antique British porcelain coffee can or cup circa 1810. Probably Spode, in the "Church Gresley" pattern or variant. Yellow ground in the lozenge design, with pink and green floral. Gilt trim. Unmarked, but see examples of this pattern, and of this shape/handle in Berthoud.

Size: Approximately 2.5 inches high, 2.25 inches diameter .

Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
