This Limited Edition Plate from The Currier and Ives Plate Collection is Copenhagen Porcelain, made in Denmark for the Danbury Mint.

This particular plate is one of a twelve plate collection, these plates were never sold individually. We have a few others to list as well, please see the last photo.

We have only 1 copy of the original brochure, we will photo copy this and send it with your plate...if you purchase all the plates we have, we will send you the original.

Excerpts from the Advance Sale Colored Brochure: "These plates depict the romance and excitement of America's growth and expansion...An Exclusive private commission by Bing & Grondahl, one of the worlds finest plate creator's...Issued in a strictly limited edition available (in 1977) by advance reservation and only by Danbury Mint.... These plates were made in 1977 and the series in this edition were the only plates of their kind in the entire world!"

Crafted of the highest quality porcelain, as many as 20 hand-applied ceramic colors and two bands of 24kt. gold applied by hand to each plate!
