This is an Antique Ice Box made in the 1900's. Unlike most ice boxes this is made of metal. It is in original condition without being restored, therefore you can restore this beauty the way you would like. This would be so cute and useful in your home. The ice goes into the top of the unit. The refrigerated items go below on the Lazy Susan racks that are inside. It is a very rare and unique old refrigerator Ice box.

The iceman delivered ice for the first ice boxes which was the fore runner of our modern day refrigerator. Ice was purchased from a ice salesman

The ice melted in the first crude ice boxes, so the iceman was in great demand. And that is how the Ice box stayed cold and the items stayed fresh.
