Wonderful Bing and Grondahl She is a beauty! THE LITTLE MERMAID at Langelinie Pier in Denmark. She is the national Symbol of Denmark and this miniature collectors plate by Bing and Grondahl is a limited edition signed piece. On the back it is stamped with the Bing and Grondahl logo and it has Copenhagen porcelain made in Denmark LANGELINIE 1705/5708 Kjeld Bonfils (I think that is how the artist's name is spelled). This is a WONDERFUL COLLECTORS PIECE BROUGHT HERE FOR YOU TODAY! Don't miss out. Edvard Erikson made this sculpture in 1913 and it sits at Langelinie. It was created after the fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson where a mermaid saves a prince from drowning and falls in love with him. She trades her beautiful voice for legs to the evil sea witch, but alas, she didn't win her prince but instead became cold sea foam.

Quite a story to go with this wonderful butter pat type of plate. It measures 3"x3".
