From Grand Duchess Olga’s photograph collection, an original photo of Olga with her pet dog. Long Russian note (inscription) on the back. Signed and dated. Photo measures 3 ¼ inches by 4 inches. Circa 1900. Provenance: The Byington Collection, which is acknowledged in: “Tsar: The Lost World of Nicholas & Alexandra” by Peter Kurth (p. 223); and “Olga Romanov: Russia’s Last Grand Duchess” by Patricia Phenix (p. 296), by direct descent from Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna.
