Charming watercolor signed “Olga”. Child is Olga’s first grandchild, Gury’s daughter, Xenia, who was born in 1941. Painted at Knudsminde, Denmark. Painting was acquired from the Byington Collection which is acknowledged in: Tzar: The Lost World of Nicholas & Alexandra by Peter Kurth (p. 223); and Olga Romanov: Russia’s Last Grand Duchess by Patricia Phenix (p. 296) by direct descent from Olga Alexandrovna. Painting measures 9 ½” x 9 ¼”.
