Cat with a basket of currants signed “Olga” for Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna. Scene was painted at Cooksville, Ontario, probably in the 1940s. Painted on a greeting card, it measures 6 ¼” x 5 ¼”. It was acquired from the Byington Collection which is acknowledged in: Tzar: The Lost World of Nicholas & Alexandra by Peter Kurth (p. 223); and Olga Romanov: Russia’s Last Grand Duchess by Patricia Phenix (p. 296) by direct descent from Olga Alexandrovna.
