A pretty signed watercolor of yellow roses, signed “Olga” for Olga Alexandrovna, Russia’s last Grand Duchess. It is painted on a postcard and measures 3 5/8” x 5 ½”. Grand Duchess Olga’s paintings grace the collections of aristocracy around the world, including the private collections of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. Provenance: The Byington Collection, which is acknowledged in: “Tsar: The Lost World of Nicholas & Alexandra” by Peter Kurth (p. 223); and “Olga Romanov: Russia’s Last Grand Duchess” by Patricia Phenix (p. 296), by direct descent from Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna.
