About FitzSimon Antiques

The “Fitz” of FitzSimon is Joan, a Canadian living in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. The “Simon” is Susan, an American, also living in Ottawa. We've been avid collectors of antiques from around the world for too many years to count. We know our antiques and are passionate about the things we sell. Please note that at times, we are in the process of completing a sale by phone when a purchase order for the same item comes in our email. On those rare occasions, the first contact takes precedence.

We offer a superb selection of fine silverware from many countries.

We also have unusual items, such as an incredible signed portrait of Alexander I of Russia embroidered with human hair, some fabulous hand-painted miniature portraits on ivory, other fantastic Romanov antiques and jewellery from Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna - icons (one inscribed on the back by Maria Feodorovna), pendant icons, photo albums, Imperial photographs, including a signed photograph of Empress Alexandra dated 1899 and Maria Feodorovna's photograph of Nicholas II and Alexis. All of our Grand Duchess Olga items come with a letter of provenance.

Antique ivory items can be shipped, but there are regulations the buyer should follow. Best to contact us before purchasing ivory.

We'll be adding new items most weeks. We consider serious offers on many items. Our counter-offers and written price lists are valid for seven days. You can pay easily and securely with major credit cards through PayPal; there is no fee to buyers.
