Vintage 1930 Oneida Community ASCOT Silver Plate Large Round Entree Server With Lid ~ Minty

How often do you see one of these? Fantastic large silverplated entree server with dome cover. Gorgeous chased design both inside and out. The bottom section could also be used as a serving tray without the lid. The pattern features an ornate raised outer trim of shells and leafy scrolls with a pierced section just inside running around the entire piece. Measures 14-1/4" wide and 5" high to the top of the finial on the lid. Bottom rim is 1-1/2" up from table. The shape is typical of the Art Deco period, wide and low like a flying saucer. This server dates back to between 1926 and 1935; it is marked on the bottom "Community Ascot 0343". It is in excellent, minty condition and appears to have never been used. There are no scratches or scuffing in the bottom section. Fabulous! Freshly and gently hand polished as always! #9930
