Awesome oil on canvas mounted on board by Artist Jeff Otis! Jeff Otis is well known for his dramatic southwest vista desert landscapes. This piece is entitled "View from the Western Escarpment". A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jeff Otis painted this landscape from an escarpment in Santa Fe. The artist depicted one of the most beautiful sunset scenes from Santa Fe, New Mexico. As you can see, his style is representational with contrasts of light, shade and harmonization of dynamic colors.

Jeff began showing and selling his paintings professionally in 1984. His work can be seen at Meyer Gallery in Santa Fe, Meyer Gallery in Scottsdale, Concetta D. Fine Arts in Albuquerque, and Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara.

He is a signature member of Oil Painters of America, and his paintings have won numerous awards: 1st place ribbons at the New Mexico State Fair Professional Exhibit (1993 and 2000) as well as the 2001 Purchase Award, and the 1996 Excellence Award at the Oil Painters of America regional show. Jeff's paintings are found in individual and corporate collections throughout the United States as well as Japan and Europe.

Jeff Otis currently lives in Albuquerque with his wife Ida.
