I picture this absolutely wonderful tempera on a veranda in Florida, or a cottage on a lake....or how about anywhere where relaxation is the agenda. Absolutely stunning tempera on paper of a baby swan swimming with it's mother among the lily pads. This painting is a take off of the ugly duckling, for sure. The colors are rich and vibrant, the ugly duckling is not so ugly and the mother swan is gorgeous. The frame is exquisite with scalloped edges and lacy cut-outs. It is artist signed but I can not make out the signature. The painting is original to the frame and the painting is under glass.
