Here is a fine example of a turn of the century teapot or pitcher made by the Doulton Lambeth Pottery, I believe in the late 1800’s. It stands 8-1/2” tall by 6-1/2” at the widest to the edge of handle. The interior of the spout has holes to screen out loose debris. The lid has a vent hole on top and sits within a silver ring which I’m not quite sure if it’s sterling or plate. There are six hallmarks; the last three are, a crown, a lion and a gothic E. The first three are a U, &, and I can’t make out the third one. The decorative design applied around the outside show a hunter and hounds chasing an antlered stag and a gentleman in a garden scene smoking, drinking, sleeping it off, and then thinking about it. It’s a nice piece. New York State Tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in NYS. Local tax rate applies.
