Book Piece 1920s Vintage “Carmen” German Half Doll

This lovely pincushion or half-doll is a very popular model, known as Carmen. She wears an iridescent orange and white shawl over her pale yellow bodice. Her hat partially conceals the blue flowers at her left ear. Can be seen in The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls by Marion & Werner on pages 171 and 293. In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks and repairs. There is a mark inside her base which almost looks like number 96. Incised Made in Germany across her lower back and with the number 14503. 4 holes. 4".
