Rare Whiting & Davis Deco Jewelled Mesh Purse

This is an absolutely fabulous enameled and jewelled purse. Leaf green with white geometric design. The large peridot coloured stone is part of the design and is set with Greek Key design. The back and the front of the purse are identical. The frame is hammered silver toned metal and the clasp is set with a deep green stone. The chain is original to the purse and has bezel set peridot coloured stones that match the oval stones. The chain is silver toned and has no silver loss. The interior is spotless ecru silk. There is a ruched pocket on one side and an attached mirror on the other side. There is a TINY bit of loss on a few of the links right next to the frame from normal movement of the links. All of the links are attached to the frame ... none are loose, broken or missing. This beautiful bag is in near mint condition. It looks unused. Circa 1900. Signed Mesh Whiting & Davis Bags CO and "El-Sah" on the inside frame . 7 ½” by 5”. Chain is 15 ¼”.
