Franciscan Desert Rose has become the most sold American dinnerware of all time. This butter dish is in excellent condition. The Lid has a small rose bud on the top to use as a handle. The under dish will hold a 1/4# of butter. It is an older piece from 1942. Both pieces are marked "Franciscan", the butter plate on the bottom and the lid has numbers under the lid. This is a beautiful piece. I have other pieces in this pattern, including a 12 piece place setting. I will combine for a discount. Enjoy.
