I bought this small asymmetrical vase because I was fascinated by its shape, in particular the opening of the vase, which is visibly off-center (photos 3 & 4), and the pennelato technique, which I'd not seen before. Pennelato is a technique in which swirls of differently colored glass resemble abstract painting. The vase is 3.5" high and 3" wide. The interior of the lip is rounded and smooth and tucked under (photo 5). The pontil is rough, and the outer edge of the base is ground, not polished, and doesn't quite make a closed circle (photos 6 & 7). The vase is in mint condition.
