These hand-blown swan console bowls, with their swirling colors, were popular art glass items during the mid-20th century, decorative as well as functional. This one is very large--14.5" long, 9.5" wide, and 4.5" high--and multicolored, including shades of green and red, and a mauve that verges on white (photos 3 and 4). The bowl was stretched into a triangular shape and crimped at several points (photo 6). Aside from visible wear on the base (photo 5), it's in mint condition.
