When I think of Oklahoma arts, well-known ceramics companies like Frankoma come to mind, not art glass. Then I found this matched pair of large swan bowls made of swirling brown and green glass. Inside both bowls is a black and gold round foil label that identifies them as made by Sooner Glass. The basic design is similar to that of the cornucopia bowls popular in the mid-20th century, blown from a single grab of glass, with swan's neck and head stretched away from the base and the bowl pulled up in a thick wave-like rim. The largest of the two is 15" long from beak to the end of the bowl, 7" high at the top of the swan's head, with a bowl 10" long and 9.5" wide. The smaller swan is 8" high at the top of its head, 14" long, with a bowl 9.5" long and 9.5" wide. The previous owner took very good care of the bowls, and both are in mint condition. (My last photo shows one of the bases.)
