SALE 1800's (Waldensian) Bonnet in Shadow Box

Listed here is a mid century to late century bonnet. It is in a walnut shadow box with brass corners. The box measures 17" x 14" x 2 3/4". The hat itself is almost two inches thick as it is folded. Great condition!! It belonged to Suzanne Pascal of Valdese, N.C., who was a Waldensian. Their family settled in the area and developed the town of Valdese. The family itself (Waldense's) have a very prominent history around the area. You can look up the family history online! This particular lady lived to be 101 years old, and I got the hat from a family member who decided to sell the piece along with a handmade doll owned by the same lady. Which is also being listed. Great historic pieces!!
