This fine example of a heart has always been a favorite of mine. I love the asymmetrical aspect of the design - it is perfectly balanced with a flowing effect that I find calming -yet delightfully intriguing. Deep cut repousse work depicting acanthus leaves flanks a center banner on the lower left quadrant while a fan of sun rays flows upward in the upper right quadrant.
