Circa 1940’s-1950’s, gorgeous floral designs were a popular subject matter during the era when vintage Barkcloth was produced. This particular example of Vintage Barkcloth measures 32 inches wide and 42 inches long. There is an additional 1 inch of hemmed fabric that can easily be taken down for some extra length. The background coloration is an oatmeal color, which provides a perfect neutral palate for the gorgeous sprays of huge flowers throughout! There are large flowers in deep cranberry, dark pink, some yellow and green leaves. There are also black and gray accents as well. The outstanding floral motif on this Vintage barkcloth textile fabric truly reminds one of a tropical paradise! There is a very strong contrast between the neutral background of the barkcloth and the magnificent floral design. Vintage Barkcloth in recent times, have enjoyed a resurgence of popularity and many collect these amazing vintage textiles for use in today’s homes and for craft projects, such as designing and creating wonderful large totes out of Vintage Barkcloth.
