Circa 1930’s-40’s, this incredible wool blanket has a background coloration of an off white, almost oatmeal color. The focal point of this 72 inches by 80 inch blanket are the vibrant colored stripes of black, red, yellow and green, each measuring 2 ½ inches in width. The manufacturer was the prominent Shuler & Benninghofen Company of Hamilton , Ohio . This wonderful example of a vintage Mariposa striped cabin blanket is complete with the original label, which proudly states: ALL WOOL, MARIPOSA BLANKET MADE BY SHULER AND BENNINGHOFEN, HAMILTON, OHIO. The Hamilton Ohio woolen factory was a mill that prided itself in being a family owned business for three quarters of a century. This woolen factory ceased operation under Shuler and Benninghofen in 1967 and became affiliated with another company. These amazing vintage woolen camp or cabin blankets are becoming harder and harder to find. BE SURE TO SEE ALL PHOTOS.

This prime example of a Mariposa striped vintage blanket is impressive with its four color stripes as stated above against the natural colored wool blanket. This vintage woolen blanket makes quite a statement! This Shuler & Benninghofen woolen manufactured blanket, as stated, is complete with its original tag, in perfect condition as is the entire blanket!

This much desired vintage cabin Mariposa striped blanket presents no areas of fading, thinning, moth holes or wear. In other words it is in MINT condition! There is also no mildew or odor. The photos do not even do it justice!
