Circa 1930’s-40’s, this Vintage Bakelite hair barrette measures 1 ½ inches wide and 1 inch tall, at the tallest portion. It is just under ¼ of an inch deep. This butterfly shaped Bakelite barrette, as stated above, has delicate and detailed carvings along the entire surface (see photos).
The back of this Vintage Bakelite hair ornament is complete with the original closure, which you squeeze to open and close it. It is perfect, free of any corrosion or damage.
The patina is bright and shiny on this fun vintage Bakelite barrette and it tests positive for Bakelite. It is in pristine condition, free of any damage whatsoever.
