This circa 1940’s Vintage alligator clutch style handbag measures 13 inches wide and 7 tall. There is a movable set in double alligator handle on top measuring ½ wide, which swings freely.

This vintage alligator pocketbook with its natural skins is a deep and delicious chocolate brown in color. This envelope styled clutch purse has a generous front flap goes over the entire vintage clutch purse and this flap is where the two alligator legs are (see photos). There is whip stitching in leather around the entire vintage purse. This fashionable vintage accessory can be carried with the handle or without by tucking it into the purse.

There is wrap around closure on the bottom of his vintage alligator purse which measures 1 ½ inches in width at its widest portion and snaps closed on the back of the purse, which is so clever (see photo)! Open the purse to reveal quite a surprise! There are three outside compartments on the lower portion, also in the chocolate brown alligator. One is a 3 inch wide compartment with a flap that slips through a strip of the alligator, second is an open purse which does have a diagonal snap closure and last is a 3 inch wide snapped closed compartment which is prefect for spare change! We are not done yet! The leather lined inside of alligator purse with its Art Deco styled sleek lines, has a center portion which is zippered closed (works perfectly!). This center portion creates two complete sides on either side of this center portion. There are also two inside pockets. BE SURE TO SEE ALL THE PHOTOS OF THE PURSE.

The skins on the alligator purse are absolutely perfect and free of any damage whatsoever. The whip-stitching around the purse is also perfect as is the interior of the purse. The alligator heads are also perfect. In other words, this entire vintage alligator clutch purse is in mint condition and so very chic!
