Circa 1940’s-50’s, this substantial weight nubby barkcloth fabric has a repeating print of tropical palm fronds on the entire fabric. The colors are amazing, having a background coloration of sections of beige and sections of chartreuse green. There are large palm fronds in brown, green and deep red. The colors are so very bright and vibrant and it appears as if this vintage Barkcloth textile has never been used. It measures almost two yards long, being 70 inches long. It is 52 inches wide. BE SURE TO SEE ALL PHOTOS. The selvage is an oatmeal color and in large brown lettering on the selvage it is imprinted NASSAU HAND PRINT.
Because of the substantial weight of this Vintage barkcloth fabric and the size, it lends itself to a variety of wonderful projects such as making pillows, covering a window shade perhaps or even making fabulous flea market or diaper totes. It is gorgeous and bold enough to frame!
As stated above, this vintage textile appears to have never been used and is mint condition, free of any damage whatsoever and is ready to be created into something wonderful!
