A gorgeous Vintage Cotton textile purse handbag is presented. The texture, look and feel of this vintage textile purse is quite similar to the texture of Vintage Barkcloth and the floral design is magnificent! The size is quite large, which is unusual.

Circa 1940’s, this vintage cotton textured textile purse is all authentically vintage and was most probably designed and crafted for someone, as there are initials charmingly etched into the wood frame, LAM. (see photo). These initials can certainly be sanded out, but I absolutely feel that they add to the charm and appeal of this Vintage cotton purse. It measures 18 inches in width and 14 ½ inches in height, including the vintage wooden frame. This vintage textile purse pulls open easily to reveal a huge lined inside. The background coloration is a tone-on-tone textured oatmeal color, a perfect backdrop for the wonderful floral motif. There are gorgeous cabbage roses in varying shades of pink and burgundy, and other smaller flowers in blues and yellow, along with a multitude of leaves in varying shades and tones of green. The floral motif on this vintage cotton purse looks like a wonderful bouquet of flowers, so romantic in feeling! BE SURE TO SEE ALL PHOTOS.

The top of the vintage purse, is designed similarly to that of the ever-popular Bermuda Bag with its wooden frame in a smooth and grainy wood. This wood top measures 12 inches in length and 1 inch in height with rounded corners. As stated above, one side has the engraved initials. On each end of this vintage wooden frame, there are horizontally rounded holes through which two handles are thread threw in the same vintage fabric as the purse. Each vintage textile handle measures about 20inches in length and ¾ inch in width. The inside is lined in pale mustard color vintage polished cotton and is immaculate. This wonderful example of a Vintage cotton purse handbag will make a wonderful tote, flea market bag, yarn bag or diaper bag perhaps. The size is fabulous and large and will hold a multitude of goodies.
