An absolutely gorgeous Vintage Alligator Purse is presented for your consideration. The style is unique and unusual in this alligator purse – a shoulder bag style with an adjustable strap and Art Deco looking angled front flap with a unique closure. The color of this wonderful vintage alligator purse is a delicious chocolate brown. The lining is dark beige suede.

There are many design qualities in this vintage alligator handbag which makes it so stunning and unique. The front closure is elegant and unusual with a large front angular flap. The height of the entire alligator purse is 9”. It is 8” in width. There are deep wide gussets on the sides for added expansion. The gorgeous Art Deco front flap alone measures about 7” in length and 7” in width at its widest. Overlapping this front flap, is a 2” wide “strap” that slips elegantly into an alligator loop beneath the front flap. It is almost like an “envelope” effect! This circa 1940’s Vintage Alligator purse has an exquisite dark tan suede lining. There is a zippered compartment along with two other compartments in the purse on the inside. The lining is also in perfect condition.

Adding to the elegance uniqueness of this vintage alligator handbag, is the fact that is a shoulder bag style with an adjustable strap – so ahead of its time when it was designed and produced!

The bottom of the alligator skinned purse also has the same gussets as are on the sides – a wonderful and practical style. Except for one small area of wear on the inside of the strap (see photo) – which does not go to the other side at all – this Vintage Alligator Purse is in prime condition and ready to dress up any outfit – sporty or dressy - a vintage outfit or contemporary outfit.
