Circa 1940’s, this Peerless Vintage Bakelite scooper is a wonderful and bright cherry red Bakelite with vertical Art Deco inspired carvings on the handle. Including the Bakelite handle, this vintage scooper measures 8 inches in length. The Bakelite handle measures 3 ½ inches in length. The Bakelite handle on the scooper measures 1 inch in width. There are wonderful vertical and deep Art Deco straight carvings around the entire Bakelite handle on this kitchenware utensil.
In addition to using this Peerless Scoop to serve ice cream, it was also used during the era that it was produced, for serving Mashed Potatoes!
This Bakelite kitchenware utensil is embossed PEERLESS on the finger rest portion of the scooper. The Peerless Machine and Tool Corporation was originally located in Brooklyn, New York.
