Circa 1930’s-40’s, this Bakelite bangle measures 7/8 of an inch wide. The inside diameter is the standard and comfortable 2 ½ inches. The Art Deco inspired domed surface and deep carvings create a depth of ¼ inch. The color is an unusual deep black cherry colored Bakelite that is translucent, that looks even more stunning when held up to the light. The deeply carved surface covers the entire Bakelite bangle all the way around and is comprised of a deeply carved gouged center bordered by abstract Art Deco inspired diagonal lines, creating a fabulous look!
