The sinuous hollow-ware bangle is abundantly decorated with the finest applied, spun wire, filigree designs. At the center of a graceful tubular spiral, a ten seed pearls cluster holds a solitaire green paste crystal in a crown setting, approximately one half carat.
This bracelet has an integral, almost hidden, “V” spring closure and is fitted with a safety chain.
The inner circumference measures 6 ½” around. It has a 2¼” diameter across the widest section of the oval, measured inside. This bracelet is made for a fairly small wrist size, best fitting a 5 ¾” to 6 ¼” wrist.
A single 1/8” diameter tube forms the spiral top design element which continues around, in a band, to encircle the wrist. The bangle weight is 6.4 grams of 19K Yellow Gold, tested, unmarked. This is a beautiful example of the fine craftsmanship evident in mid-Victorian jewelry. In the photos, you will see that the condition is near perfect. This will make an excellent first piece in your, or an addition to an existing, Victorian jewelry or Etruscan Revival jewelry collection.
We purchased this bracelet as a suite and will be offering the matching lever-back earrings and brooch as separate items in our Ruby Lane shop. Be sure to look for them.
The woman who receives this fine treasure will be a very lucky lady. This is an exceptional example of wearable art jewelry.
