The round-cut and pear-cut crystals, simulating aquamarines are paste "stones". The rich, ever-so-slightly-greenish-blue-blue sparkles and catches every nuance of light, to dazzle your eyes. These pastes are even enchanting in candlelight.
The top brilliant is mounted at the center of two chains. A pendant of geometric design swings from it and a drop suspended at the bottom adds the interest of motion to the piece.
The five pastes are mounted in mille grained bezels on a trellis of hand fabricated rose gold, interspersed with seven seed pearl accents. The closure at the center back of the chain is a tube and "V" spring clasp. The pendant is in wonderful condition with no repairs or damage except for a chip on the top of one of the smaller pastes. The rose gold glows with a colorful coppery patina.
This early Arts and Crafts necklace foretells of the Art Deco Period style with its geometric theme.
