Antique Gent’s Ring - 10K Rose Gold & Shield Shaped Bloodstone

Offered here is a good looking 10K Rose Gold Gent’s Ring, circa 1890; a shield shaped flat polished bloodstone is contour bezel set at the center.

The first thing you’ll notice about this ring is the very rich coppery color of the gold and the soft sheen of its finish. The ring weighs 4.5 Grams. It bears the hallmarks “HBM” and “10K” on the inner shank; it fits a size 9 finger. The bloodstone, which touches the finger when worn, measures ½” long by ½” across. At each shoulder the gold is sculpted with a botanical design which graduates from ½” to 3/8” where the design of the shoulders meets the 3/16” thick shank. This is a solid gold ring with a flush inner surface, the gold at the shoulders has not been hollowed out; it is very comfortable on the hand. This ring could be sized up or down by a qualified jeweler.

The ring is in excellent wearable condition, the only signs of its one hundred plus years of use are some extremely tiny “flea bites” at the edges of the bloodstone.
