14K Yellow Gold Late Victorian Seed Pearls Large Sunburst Brooch/Pendant

Here, for your consideration, is a large Late Victorian Era, circa 1890’s, 14K Yellow Gold sunburst or starburst brooch. The brooch is bead set with a total of seventy-three (73) luminous white seed pearls.

The seed pearls cover the tongues of flame emanating from the center of the fireball sun.

The pin measures 1 & 5/8” across & approximately 5/8” from front to back. The weight of the brooch is 9.5 Grams. It has a beautiful smooth polished finish.

There is a locking closure and a hinged and swiveling bale so the pendant may be worn as a pin or on a chain or hooked to the center of a necklace as I show in a couple of photos. The necklace is listed separately in my Ruby Lane shop.

This is a thick and heavy gold brooch; its construction is solid, not hollow. This piece is in near new condition after its first hundred years, it is a finely finished piece of jewelry. With its heirloom quality it will give subsequent owners many lifetimes of use. Its style goes with wedding attire or it will counterpoint black fashions and can add some bling to dress-up any outfit.
