Enchanting 12 1/2 inch 1930's Faience Woman Decanter. These figure were made at the time to depict different regions of France. This one is from the Auvergne region and has Avergnate, or in the style of the Auvergne on the bottom pedestal. Many were made at the time, however, not many have survived. This Lady is dressed in local costume and has the beautiful high color of faience.The decanter has the original cork stopper. She has no chips , cracks or restorations and only minimal crazing, viewed only under a magnifying glass. She makes a striking decoration.
