Old Paris Porcelain boy and girl pair ca 1880 These were actually used as plume holders or scent bottles. They elegantly held the plume on a well appointed desk or contained a delightful fragrance, however, these makes a lovely display with or without a scent or a plume. Classic Old Paris quality and styling. Old Paris porcelain was hand made by many of the Sevres artists. The pieces are 9 inches tall and in excellent condition with only age related wear to the gilt and two small firing flaws on the girl's base. The boy has wonderful presence and a striking period face as does the girl and combining with the high quality of the porcelain it makes these a very unique and a wonderful enhancement to any place they adorn.. Rare to find a matching pair.. They are 7 inches tall.
