Degue Glass Bowl and Stand

This is a wonderful piece, from the 1920's, from the famous Degue factory. In 1926 David Guéron, founded a factory, called "Verrerie D'Art Degué" which specialized in the designing and production of Art Deco luxury art-glass. His factory was located on the "Boulevard Malesherbes" and his showroom was on the "41 rue de Paris". The factory main focus was the production of vases, lamps and chandeliers. The glass was known and revered for it's full and deep colors, achieved with a special process (especially red, orange, yellow and green). This piece was produced for a Fete de Verre, or Festival of Glass in France in the 1920's. This is a more unusual offering from Degue and incorporates all the coveted colors the company was noted for. The stand is in Art Deco style with accents of grapes and leaves and the bowl is a splash of red, yellow orange green and deep blue. The glass appears layered and is truly a work of art. The bowl is signed Degue and the piece is in very good condition. The bowl is perfect and the stand is in excellent condition with slight aging appropriate to age. The piece is 10 inches tall and 15 inches wide. The bowl is 8 inches in diameter.
