This is a 19th century bronze of a woman signed Ferrand. Ernest Ferrand was born in 1846 and died in 1932 and focused much of his sculpture on the common working people of the time. A well executed piece it depicts a French serving girl from the 19th century. Wonderful detail and expression are highlighted in this work from the prolific French artist. It is mounted on a wood base and is an excellent period piece. It is in good condition and has a rich and good patination throughout.
