Mike Lee was born in 1957 in Seoul, Korea. A self-taught photograph, Lee's work focuses on the beauty of nature, particularly landscapes. His remarkable work is characterized by the excellent lighting he always seems to have. This comes from his technique of revisiting locations during and around sunrise and sunset, seeking what he calls the "Magic Moment" of natural lighting. Although it may only last for minutes or even seconds, Lee returns repeatedly to capture the perfect image.

In addition to being a much-talked-about photographer, Lee teaches a weekly landscape photography class at his own lab. He has also traveled over 150,000 miles searching for his "next amazing photo."
