Purchased in 1998, the estimated age was 100+ years. The appraisal states: Bronze plaque of three court figures of the Chief blowing flutes. Each figure is wearing a head piece which has what may be the ears and face of a rabbit on the left side. The hat of the figure on the left facing the viewer, has two small holes on the right side…..The overall dimensions of the plaque is 9 ½ inches wide by 12 inches high. Country of origin is Nigeria. Ethnic group Benin. Appraised January 17, 1998 at $5,000.
