14kt Victorian Sapphire/Diamond Brooch

This exquisite brooch from the Victorian era was updated with this extraordinary sapphires/diamond flower in the center. I love this blending of "something old and something new".

The brooch has 3 tiers. The outer circular first tier has 4 textured arches in each corner which are outlined with small gold beads. Second tier has a circular disc with a rope chain wrapped around it and the third tier disc has the sapphire/diamond flower which is set in a white gold setting. Below this tier, there is a double rope chain.

The back of the brooch can be removed. Original "C" clasp closure. Original pin has been replaced.

Stamped 14kt and 585 on back. Measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Weighs 15.50 grams.

Diamond totals 20 points and is very white and has a lot of sparkle. The 6 sapphires are very rich navy blue and are 4mm each.

The brooch has fine scratches and small areas of oxidization due to age and wear.
