Sterling (unmarked and tested) mourning locket with black enamel and seed pearls, ca.1865. Measures .96" by 1.2" and weighs 12.3gms. Has a newish 18" sterling chain which combines to make a wonderful necklace. The two sides of the locket can be configured to contain your own choice of pictures. The pictures are original to the locket as found, but they appear to have been added at a later date (about 1890-1900). The locket has a couple of very tiny edge chips which really can't be seen unless searched for. Excellent condition.
